The City Market in São Paulo (in Portuguese Mercadão) is a delightful place specializing in fresh produce and dried goods. It is also a great place to sample a couple of classic Sampa delights: mortadella sandwiches, pasteis (everybody says that the “bacalhau” codfish is better but I prefer shrimp).
There is also a huge amount of exotic Brazilian food (from north to South) and a wide diversity of fruit , cheese, spices, nuts, meats and so on. The sellers give you a piece of fruit that you have never tried before. All the fruit that I used to try, is so delicious that I need to buy them right now. The bad part is that you need to carry everything. Can you imagine trying a fruit from Amazonia in São Paulo?
Have you ever seen so many different kinds of fruit and cheese in your life? Like a cheese maniac, I go crazy!
If you’re like me and you’re learning to cook, you must look through the variety of these sources, but how do you know which one to use in your meal?
We have a variety of Linguiça, smoke cured pork sausage seasoned.
It’s interesting for People from everywhere, even São Paulo. So it’s always crowded! So be prepared for the lines.
